I need some guidance for my nephew For form 1 or trust.

He had an AR-15 pistol or does have. But he doesn't like the idea of just the pistol with no brace or buttstock. So he wants to either register the gun as a SBR or should he do the trust deal which one is better and what are the differences? He wants to know and I don't know exactly what's going on there.

I think I just found the answer that I'm looking for but any other input would be helpful.

He cannot “free” form 1 on a trust since he would not have had it assigned to the trust prior to the edict therefore if he wishes to proceed under the tax free form 1 it has to be as individual

Just to add more clarity he could still do as a trust but would just have to pay like normal
