if you can find out exactly what caliber you have, there are plenty of "cowboy loads" for all popular, and some unpopular, rounds that duplicate black powder loads. Look to those and forget about the exact BP equivalent. Most of these rounds use Trailboss which is a smokeless powder that comes close to duplicating BP -especially in pressure. if you stick with "cowboy loads" either off the shelf or reloads you should be o.k.
