i need some input on router tables

If you’re working with smaller pieces the bosh table at HD or Lowe’s for $199 is a good little table. If you are working with larger stock and/or think you might turn some larger bits, building a substantial table might be your best bet. A router table is essentially a flat board with a hole cut in it. If you like building stuff taking on a router table build can be a fun project and there are tons of plans and videos on line. If you would rather just get to routing that Bosh is a good buy.

That being said....if you are going to buy a table and 199 sounds cheap, then buy the biggest, heaviest one you can afford. Same goes for the router.

Do you already have a router? If so I would build my own table if doing anything of size. The small aluminum ones you buy in a store aren't very stable

I built one out of 1 inch MDF. You can get the featherboards on Ebay.

I built it to run trim. But I've been using it for all sorts of things since then. Matter of fact, I'm about to use it today for a project.
