So what makes a Polytech AK better than
an Arsenal SLR 107
Bulgarian Made, with scope mount, 74 break, bayonet lug you cant use bc of the 74 break, synthetic furniture, folding stock and cleaning rod??

the only chinese ak i ever had was a norinco
and i didnt like it bc of the lack of bayonet lug, no cleaning rod, thumbhole stock, and no threaded barrel

Sounds like you had a mak, still a fine AK. But the poly's most were pre ban, and the fit and finish in them are really nice. Although ive never owned and Arsenal they are still fine AK's. Between poly's and arsenals I think both are just as nice.

ARCman and I were just talking about this the other day. People think their AK's are worth $2000 bc there is a import ban on Russian made parts kits/rifles etc., Arsenal in Vegas does majority if not all their builds using Bulgarian parts and those rifles are the only ones in the $1000+ range worth the money. Sorry, IMHO, goto J&G Sales and order a BNIB Yugo M70B1 and have it sent to your FFL for under $600 with tax & shipping. The Kalash market hasn't really gone anywhere, people just hear a little news on one part of the world not being able to export/import and now their WASR, Saiga etc., has doubled in price

Do WASR's & Saiga's belong in the same sentence, tho?

The whole gun outside and in. To start the receiver on a poly stamped thicker the finish will not blemish with solvents, they're heavy duty. These are pretty much the guns used by the north in Vietnam. Everyone has heard the tales. More accurate due to a heavier barrel. Trigger group superior no reason to buy a G2, bolt and carrier are worlds apart Saigas are cheap cheap, yea it works but really look at one. Then that plastic furniture that melts yup it melts heat shield LMAO. If you really did a honest side by side its a no brainer. The bulgys are awesome that Arsenal sells now and they're milled even better. I have both newer sams one is U /f and they came with plastic which was replaced ASAP, the finish is better than saiga but still blows. However everything else rocks. The Saigas are what they are but for me way better choices for when the SHTF gun. Even at the old prices, I had one and bought in to the hype my bad, no biggie I lost no money but I'm now the wiser. Obama is still wrong with his executive order should have outlawed Stolli but then again that's a quality product .

If I had the cash I'd come after that. I LOVE the underfolder stocks. The only reason I let go of my Saiga was because I didn't want to go through the full conversion and buy an underfolder stock to put on it. It shot great and I loved it otherwise.
