I want everyone that advocates for having a weapons license to carry to help me out..

"Imagine what things would be like if the NFA of 1934 was thrown out..."

A whole new meaning to the term "drive bye-bye-bye-bye-bye-bye......."

Dear hunting would be more like deer pureeing.....

Grilled cheese would always mean Swiss.....

I don't want this to end up being a debate or people getting mad(good luck right), but why do I need a weapon license from the State to carry a weapon that I can buy without a license? Can someone please answer me why I should have to obtain a license to exercise my rights? I am seriously wanting to know how people justify this. Thank You.

It is the law and you must abide. I can't justify it though.

Because once you have to apply (beg) for permission (permit) it has become a privilege. One more natural right sacrificed.

I think that you are joking there(?)

Things like the NFA are permitted thanks to Marbury v. Madison and the cases that followed that gave the balance of power to the Federal Government.

You know, I am joking, but there would be one dum-sum-a-female dog that would take a fully auto out deer hunting and scream, "I can own it! Why can't I hunt with it!?

I do it to avoid a possible felony. Until I get off of my ass and get more politically active to attempt to change laws that I don't agree with, that's my only legal option, and I am a law abiding citizen.

It's not the big bad .gov vs. me, it's me vs. apathy.
I'm right there with you, but only if things can not be met throw peaceful resolve, then they will be met through violent revolution

Not likely... There are a lot of fully automatic weapons out there now and I have never heard of anyone using one for hunting.

Is your assertion that because the number of fully automatic weapons has been reduced, gang bangers aren't able to get their hands on them and use them in drive-by's? You may very well be correct, but couldn't that argument be applied to all guns? <Devil's Advocate Here> If all guns were taxed $2000 (equivalent to the $200 tax back in 1934 and excluding the 1968 Gun Control Act), would that reduce the weapons that gang members could acquire?

Supreme Court says that the police have no obligation to protect and can not be sued for failing to do so, so.......
Is this really a "right" or could it not be argued that it is an obligation to protect one's self?

After all, we are getting ready to be taxed for the right to survive.

What's the Old Saying "I carry a gun, Because it's easier than carrying a Cop".
