I went Salmon fishing today , Columbia River basin

Relatively light rods with baitcasters. Fished with Anchivies (bait shop has fresh ones caught from River).
We had @ 15 in boat can only keep hatchery Coho no wild. Chinook can be wild ir hatchery.
Lots several using barbless hooks makes it challenging. Lost one big fish (a buddy did) first fish on to a Sea Lion who looked to weigh 700 lbs. A co-workers father is a guide did a tremendous job.
27' custom North River fishing boat 250 Yamaha was super comfortable .
