Put over 450k on my last Continental going to Langford PKWY But hey...it'll be your funeral ; maybe I'll request an Opel Cadet station wagon (my first car).....nah , I'll take the Lincoln like it'll matter anyway LOL
 
I thought Ford did not accept any bailout money back when GM and Chrysler were taking tax dollars to right their ships?
Yeah that's another reason I still like Ford. Some on here have argued that they did but I haven't found anything about it. To me GM and Chrysler will always be Gubment Motors.

Ford likes to say it "didn't take the money" because unlike General Motors GM +0.76% and Chrysler, it didn't require a taxpayer bailout to survive the 2008-2009 credit crisis. But don't forget: Ford tapped into a different pool of government money set aside for the auto industry during those desperate times. (And those low-cost funds were critical to Ford's survival because no other funding sources were available.)
