Instead of saying I'll take it I will just send a PM saying I'm interested. I posted an Ill take it once and then the guy tried to jack up the price and wanted me to meet him at his house. Those are things I am not comfortable with at all.

Different forums and yes I did forward it to those mods. I'm not defending people who back out of deals but sometimes there ARE legit reasons.

I've met a guy at his house before. It wasn't a big deal. He was having a cook out and could only meet that day if I came to his house, and I was working too much the rest of the week and couldn't meet any other day. An empty store parking lot isn't much safer than the end of someone's driveway in a busy neighborhood.

Plus it's not like someone is going to go all "craigslist killer" on someone they think is armed

I posted an I'll take it before i read the location, Being new at the time I didnt want to back out, so I drove 2 hrs to the sellers house... And then drove 2 hrs back home..Man did I learn my lesson to read more carefully after that deal..

first off, I hate new people....

second, i did a "i will take it", and the somehow i thought the item was local, but it was actually 45 miles from my house, my bad for not reading well. I sucked it up and did the drive.

Third, i have had more than one non paying bidder on ebay, so it's not just here that this happens.

Fourth you got people who don't know where they live. look, buford and snellville are NOT in central Ga. Buy a map.

I had an established member bail on a deal after getting an agreed upon price, date ,time and general area to meet just for him to tell me it was sold already the morning it was supposed to happen. The mod said i did not have an exact meeting place so it was not a deal and just to not deal with him anymore as if I need someone to tell me to not get screwed around by the same guy twice. Then the guy reposted some of the items he was supposed to be selling me yeaterday so either way he lied and misled me which is negative and a broken deal where i come from.

yeah, but there should be some sort of warning from the rest of us like "this guy doesn't keep his word" or "this guy likes to shine people on"...

it never gets to negative feedback, they make the offer, i accept the offer and ask when and where....then crickets chirping...it's annoying but the mods will say there was no deal
