unions are by and large self serving and a thorn in the side of the free market

i believe unions should be allowed to exist obviously but they shouldnt get any government support one way or the other (i feel the same way about companies to)

i figure if a union and its workers strike the company should be allowed to fire the lot and hire new folks if they choose, just my two cents on it

My union helps me have a better environment to work in. Got rid of faulty safety equipment that we had, prevented an outside Chief with a horrible reputation from getting the job, and helped get us a bonus check for the first time in I don't know how long.

And I am backed by an Attorney if I ever need it for work related issues.


So my dues don't solely go to Political backing. Not what its about for me.

When I started this thread i did not mean for it to become a **** storm for who supports unions versus who does not. I just wanted to reach out and see if there where any brothers on here. I apologize for starting this thread.

There will always be haters that will crap in your thread and it's clear to me they don't have all the facts and think they know everything. The 613 and most skilled labor unions are just folks trying to provide for there self and there family. Do not apologize, you are part of a well trained drug free skilled labor force that is in high demand.
