That is correct. There is no more mention of a holster or like device in the OCGA code.

I am a student at a state university. They told me I cannot have a weapon in my car even though I am 25yrs old with a valid GFL. Does this mean I can do it anyway?

Legally yes, but they can expel you for it if they wish.

Would this fall under any kind of preemption since the school is a public state school and not a private establishment?
