If you chase someone down, it's hard to claim self defense...

I don't have all the facts, I was not there... But...
- 28-year old vs. 17-year old,
- 260lb vs 180lb,
- the kid not being on Zimmerman's property,
- no evidence, the kid was committing or intending to commit a crime,
- all kid had was ice tea and skittles.
Morally in my mind, Zimmerman is fully responsible for the death and is guilty of killing the kid.
Legally it is a different story and depends how "stand your ground" in FL law is interpreted by the legal system and the jury. It is going to be a very difficult case and you want it or not will impact the self defense and gun laws in this country.
this story is now a race issue. i read the USA today and new york times (not because i buy them, but because GA state in its liberalness decided that my student fees should go to a dieing media, both boring paper at that)
and both sides brought up the killing of emmit till (somehow they are related, *gag*)
this is now a race issue, its stupid as hell. i mean, i read both articles with the hopes that the news would shed some light onto the background of this story, instead i got a bunch of heated racist conjecture about the inequalities blacks face in this day and age. i was hoping for a police report, from the sounds of it these two guys got into it and mr. zimmerman shot this guy dead.

shouldn't even be an issue but.....if he chased him down to question him, which he shouldn't have, and the "kid", who would have been tried as an adult, went on the offense as a defense because he felt theatened and attacked first and forced what's his name to be the defender in response to what appears to be an aggresor.....it looks pretty gray.......but, he SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN THE CAR!!!!!!! and this would not even be an issue. from everything i have read thus far, it doesn't appear the kid was doing anything wrong and zimmerman was an overzealous wanna be.......
did you hear the tape in which zimmerman calls the kid a f@*king coon and a a$$hole on the 911 call
he might as well turn himself in , confess and plead for the courts mercy otherwise he will be made to be the example
