How far away was the Deer?

My Ak was my primary hunting rifle for deer for years. I took over 40 deer with it, all one shot kills. At ranges from as close as 3 yards to ~170 yards. With the mean averaging around 50-70 yards.

Enjoying reading this thread and seeing all the different opinions. One calibur i was surprised to not see was the 30-06. Any reason why?

Personally, I would take a .22lr and either my mini-14 or 20ga. I have been thinking very seriously about adding an AK to my aresenal and that would probably be my #2 if I had it.

MY DSArms FAL and MP5N. 9mm and .308 are very common ammo. I can carry both on my person easily. I have lots of rounds in storage. Both are very battle proven.
I can use the FAL to hunt and protect with a decent amount of fire power.

I can use the MP5N for PDW and clearing hallways, buildings, houses, dwellings, ect.
