Here is all you could ever want to know about the process...

Sig Sauer thanks you for your Service Request...

Please pack up the unloaded gun(S) in a case or box and secure it inside another shipping package. Remove all other items from the case except the magazines. Please send in your factory magazines that came with the firearm as well. If sending a rifle, please do not separate the receivers in the case. Shipping the receivers like this can potentially cause damage to the rifle during shipping.

If you are sending in a pistol to have a caliber exchange kit installed, please send just the frame without the mags or upper assembly unless we have set up work to be done on the upper assembly. Otherwise, any pistol coming in for this service that does not come in as just a frame will be sent back to the customer without having the work done.

We cannot/will not perform an FSP or SSP on a gun with an aftermarket or painted on finish.

Print out the FedEx shipping label (file attached) and take the package to your main FEDEX shipping hub/terminal and they will ship it to Sig Sauer on your behalf. Some retail locations such as Kinko’s or Mail Boxes Etc do not ship firearms.

Pistols ship 2nd Day Air. Rifles ship Ground.

Air guns ship Ground. DO NOT include any CO2 or ammo with your air gun.

Be sure all label information prints out on the paper clearly (you may need to resize it depending on your system/program).

The tracking number is on your label.

After repairs/services are completed, it will be returned to you viaFedEx.

Adult signature will be required upon delivery. You should receive an automated email with FedEx tracking number letting you know when it is shipping back to you. Remember to check your SPAM folder.

Approximate turn-around time for basic repairs & service (not including refinishing service or replacement, which can take longer) is currently about 3-4 weeks from the day we receive it. Any repairs involving refinishing may take approximately 2 weeks longer.

We include a print out of notes from the gunsmith on his findings and any work completed back with the firearm.

**Please read all important notes below regarding the shipping of your firearm**

BEFORE YOU SHIP IT OFF PLEASE:

* CHECK & CLEAR your firearm, mag(s) and case of any live ammunition before shipping

* CHECK AGAIN

* Review your shipping information on the label for accuracy - let your Sig Sauer Customer Service Representative know ASAP if any changes need to be made. That is the address the gun will be shipped back to.

* After-market accessories or parts MUST BE REMOVED from the gun and/or case prior to shipping. This includes lights, laser- products and scopes not produced by Sig Sauer.

If you are sending a rifle, do NOT separate the upper from the lower for shipment as this can cause damage while shipping. SIG Sauer will not be responsible for any damages due to rifle upper and lower separation.

**If you are making any changes to a service or repair that has not previously been discussed with Sig Sauer Customer Service, you MUST contact your Customer Service Representative prior to shipping the firearm so the appropriate adjustments can be made to your account/service notes.

Your Credit Card will be charged after services have been performed and the firearm is shipping back.

When using a Debit Card, the system will immediately reserve the total amount of the service to be sure the account is active & funds are available when the time comes to deduct the charges from your account

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW**:

Failure to follow these instructions may result in additional shipping charges.

SHIPPING:

*SigSauer, Inc Policy requires that the firearm(s) be shipped back to your residential or agency address – we will not accept any business address for any reason unless the business is federally licensed to receive & distribute firearms.

* Please plan ahead. It is the responsibility of the Customer to make provisions for return delivery.

~Firearms can NOT be held at our facility for more than 10 days beyond completion of services UNLESS prior arrangements have been made with the customer service representative. A firearm can only be held for a maximum of 21 days from completion of services.

~ An additional charge of $27.50 will be added if a firearm comes back non deliverable and needs to be held for more than 10 days

~Firearms can NOT be shipped directly to a FedEx or UPS location for pick up.

~ Firearms can NOT be held at the FedEx or UPS location for customer pick up

~ If an adult over 21 cannot be home to sign for delivery of the firearm, it will need to be shipped from and back to your local dealer/FFL. In this case the dealer will need to call to set up the service order. SigSauer, Inc is not responsible for any dealer transfer fees incurred.

* Shipping address cannot be changed once the gun has been received.

*Any shipment received without an authorization number (RMA or SR number) on the outside of the package may be refused.

*Your shipment will be insured through SigSauer, Inc not the carrier

*The service request & label will be active for 90 days from the time it is set up. If the service order & label are not used within 90 days the service order will be cancelled.

* Do not lock the case or firearm

*NEVER ship live ammunition with a firearm!

*In the event that additional charges are necessary to repair/replace your firearm, we will reach out to you directly via phone (and/or email if necessary) to request payment. We will make several attempts to reach you. If a replacement firearm is required, we will also need information regarding an FFL to send the replacement to. If we do not receive a response from you within 2 weeks of this initial contact, your firearm will be sent back as is. If you receive the firearm back and decide you would like to pay for the repair or replacement, you will be responsible for shipping charges to send the firearm in to us again.

INCLUDING ITEMS & AFTER-MARKET ALTERATIONS:

*Sig Sauer, Inc is not responsible for any after-market items shipped with your firearm.

Any firearm received with after-market electronics and/or optics (sights, scopes etc.) will immediately be returned to the customer without service.

Please be sure to remove ANY aftermarket items from the firearm and/or case prior to shipping. Customer will be responsible for charges to reship the firearm to us for the service/repair.

~Please be aware that any photos, media, letters, receipts and/or fired shell casings included with the gun may not be returned.

*Sig Sauer, Inc has the right to refuse service - warranty or elective - on any firearm that has after-market alterations made, after-market items installed or after-market finish applied.

*Please note that the Full Service Package and Sig Service Package involve the use of an ultrasonic cleaner. Some after-market finishes may become damaged or deteriorate in this solution.

*Firearm owner will be responsible for charges and/or fees to correct any after-market installation(s) or modification(s) associated with performance/functional issues.
