I have not ever gotten a buck to stop running for more than 5 seconds. So I’d take either one I got a shot on.

Either one of those would be a good buck in my neck of the woods, if opportunity was there I’d drop the first one to show up.

Looks like 8 could be maybe a year younger than the 12. If you agree with that I’d probably hunt 12 and leave the 8 for next year if he’s lucky enough to survive. But if either give you a good enough shot and you want to take it I’d be just as happy with either. Unfortunately it seems like nowadays if you don’t shoot it someone will. Lol. Good luck for some hard late season hunting.

I’ve noticed by your posts that you have a lot of early and late season buck activity, mature ones in particular. That’s a good thing to have going on. It seems that you are near their core area. It’s just a matter of timing and seeing them do the same thing a few days in a row, then being ready to capitalize.
