If you only have one gun forever...

I think some of yall missed the part about "you have to actually carry it..." some pretty big edc guns on this list.

I thought that too until I read the OPs opinion in the last line of his post. He said HK91. Clearly whatever fantasy land he is talking about, EDC with a 10lb rifle is fine.

Pistols are great, but somebody has to carry a rifle because from time to time a bigger hammer is what's required.

Sounds like he's talking about a permanent SHTF situation. If that's the case and we are only talking about SD...AR15. If it's got to do everything anywhere, including putting meat on the table, AR10. If it could only be a handgun, Glock 41.

The best combo for me in this part of the country is AR15 and Glock41. If I was in an area where the critters grew bigger, replace the AR15 with an AR10.

With that said, my emergency "Get Home" combo is a Glock 22 converted to 9mm and a JR Carbine that takes 9mm Glock mags.

AK. I can switch from a red dot to a med scope, IR, whatever be and its okay. Plus it doesnt need pro care. you can just wipe it down with a shirt and throw veggie oil in it

If we are talking not side arms and price is no object, my current day dream project; Something in big bad .454 Marlin. like a custom lever rifle or even an AR. Shoots everything in .45". 454 Cassul, 45 LC, 45ACP (clipped), down to.410. Probably the biggest spread of performance in a single gun.

That's an outstanding idea.
