Was out Lake fishing and a lady was fishing nearby and had a fish cooler. I got on 2 nice blue cats and I offered them to her. She said she and her husband were gonna fry them up and have them for dinner. Always pay it forward if you can.

We live on a lake and haven't cleaned fish in over 3 years... someone always comes by that will gladly take them.
Seems like a good place to pass on the sale at Cabelas on cordless fillet knives. Man..... I want one. Sorry, no link.
I usually give most or all my fish away at the boat ramp. Might keep a few crappie to eat but thats about it.
Then my father in law will come visit us and bring us bags of frozen catfish and filets.
Can't tell him no or he'll leave em in the seat of the truck and call you a hour later to tell you to go get em.

I have.been to many a farm pond and asked if the owner wanted some fish he.said yes but I don't.want to clean them, I stop at the house on the way out and hand them a mess of fillets and they smile and say you can come back any time you want. Yes it pays to pay it forward....and seeing someone smile over a mess of fish you had fun catching and a invite back doesn't hurt either. I have found.lots of farmers who have wonderful fishing areas and no time to enjoy it but enjoy eating a fresh mess fish from their own pond.
Give away my fish? what??? I'm fishing to eat, not for the sport of it.
