Just checked on a filter for my honda and they also have the Protec filter slashed for it so its not just the Ford filter on sale.

Are you using these for actually changing the oil in your car or for other purposes?

If actually for oil, should I get the Motorcraft brand? I have a 2014 F150 Raptor and use full synthetic oil.

Changing my oil.
I plan on keeping the two vehicles I have. I might as well get a lifetime supply.
I didn't really consider a shelf life.

Wix XP filters for synthetic oil!

From what Ive read, the protec and Wix black filters are identical as far as filtering goes. The only difference is the burst rating. I think the "best filter for synthetic oil" is marketing wank. Just my opinion of course.
