PMs will go through between the two members, regardless of who ignores who.

Incorrect. As explained many times now, if you have an active PM conversation with another member and place them on ignore, they will still be able to reply to that PM because of how the thread permissions work. The ignored member will not be able to start a new PM with you.

Global Ignore ceases all communications between the two members. Mods control this feature.

Also incorrect. Global Ignore is a feature that went away when we moved from vBulletin to zenforo, like 4 years ago. You could be thinking of Force Ignore, but that's not the way it works either.

If a member is on your ignore list you will not be able to see their post in your threads, but it will show that an ignored member commented in your thread.
