If the area was so "tactical" and off limits why wasn't the area taped off and the public kept back ???? It appears the officers had enough time to it as they were casually walking around conversating.

For the people that would not have been dissuaded by 4 police cars and an APC, would tape have really kept them back?If the area was so "tactical" and off limits why wasn't the area taped off and the public kept back ???? oh. so it wasn't there "job" to use a little common sense and make sure a 100+lb dog is secured before turning there backs and walking away with the owner in cuffs. I'm not a janitor, but when the bathroom at work gets nasty I ain't to good to clean it up either.
A little common sense and professionalism by the first 2 officers could have saved a good dogs life, that's all i'm saying. I don't blame the cop who shot the dog. but the first 2 officers saw that dog could get out and just ignored it and left it up to someone else to have to take care of. that's just how I see it. could just be the dog lover in me.Nope. It wasn't. When I walk into a house where I'm responding to a chest pain call and I encounter an animal that could hurt me or my crew, I don't go out of my way to secure it or tell it to sit and give it a dang treat. If it runs out the door, **** it. Its gone. If it attacks me (and I've done this) I either leave and the person dies, or I defend myself and disable the animal with force.
