I'll go ahead and post this. Cops arrest guy with camera phone & kill his dog

I watched the video. The dog was NOT being vicious even after the 3rd cop rushed up like an idiot. Common sense says you never rush up on a dog especially a breed like Rottie, Pit, Cane Corso, German Shepard. The guy wasn't resisting arrest. Back in the 70's when I was a kid the mailmen carried pepper spray for dogs as did the police. Now it's only used for people ? Dogs only know how to attack, not defend, pepper spray would've backed that dog right down IF it had been "vicious". I've owned 3 AKC Rottweilers in my time, they're family oriented dogs, not vicious killers but if that dog did attack it would've been quick and decisive. That dog was socialized. Allot of you are ACTING like the dog was the aggressor, like the cops had no knowledge there was a dog there until it came to it's owner and not viciously at that. The dog was shot, not pepper sprayed, then followed and shot 3 more times !
A Rottwelier has the strongest bite force in the K9 world, the German Sheperd has the 2nd and the Pit Bull 3rd. If that dog wanted to it could've and would have torn those cops to bloody shreds but it did NOT. I'm defending that dog because I've been around dogs and owned them my whole life and have not once ever had to "put one down" because my dumb ass didn't know to act around it.

Exactly how many rocks have you smoked tonight?

Lets review a few points:

The agressor, which is, in this case, the guy who was egging on 2 LEOs (for whatever reason) who were actively engaged with securing the perimeter of an active residential entrance .... yeah, great time to show up and start spouting whatever it is you need to say to law enforcement staff :thumb:

Next up, apparently he had sense of mind to bring his dog back to his car, yet, failed to roll up the windows further <note: this is actually the mistake that causes his dog it's life> ....

Subject returns to engage with Leos; subsequently gets arrested, and based upon what I can see, does resist to a degree, as there is a bit of a scuffle to apply cuffs .... then other officers join while I hear some sort of comotion durring the cuffing, yes?.

All of a sudden, the dog, which was not properly restrained, jumps out of the car, approaches officers during afforementioned apprehension, the officers try to ward it off, with no result, dog lunges, LEO reacts with equal force, butt hurt on ODT ensues.

Y'all do realize that the only victim here is the dog, right?

The owner caused his own dog's demise by not securing him when HE, the owner, made the decision to leave him in a vehicle with windows rolled down, then elects to go back and engage the LEOs further.

Nothing against the law so far, but, if you are foolish enough to approach LEOs that are obviously establishing a perimiter, to have a discussion, I'm pretty sure you are lookin for some crap that you are really not prepared for.... (obviously, in his case).

Now With that said, dog jumps out, (of the car that you left the windows rolled down on) by the way, what dog owner puts his dog in a car with the windows 75% down???, proceeds to engage the officers, it lunges, an officer draws and fires to stop the leathal threat. End story.

You can Monday-morning quarterback this all day long, but, I'm here to tell you, no one other than the dog's owner is at fault here.

If you desire to take on LEOs while they are doing their jobs, then take some responsibility for your actions. Seems pretty simple to me, no matter how you slice it.

Call the Leos a bunch of names, call them StormTroopers, etc .... yet, no one holds the man who actually instigated this situation accountable ..... LOL, nice.

Don't throw your habits on me, I'm not into "smoking rocks" or whatever it is you're into. Last time I checked this is STILL the USA and we STILL have our Constitutional rights at least t was when I served. The guy and his dog broke NO laws. He "obstructed justice"...right. It looked like those cops were the ones butthurt. I thought they were supposed to have thick skin from proper training to not get riled from being heckled by a crowd and take it personally let alone choosing 1 person from the group to make an example of which is what they did. There was no "perimeter" set therefore none was crossed. Those cops were casually walking around talking to each other. The video shows what did and DIDN'T happen. Like I said, it's this type of cop that give the good ones a bad name.
