I'll go ahead and post this. Cops arrest guy with camera phone & kill his dog

I find it sad that the dog had to pay the price for it's owners ignorant actions. The dog was merely trying to protect it's owner. The cops felt the need to kill the dog to protect themselves. Stupid dog owner.
I agree with this. I'm no cop, but after watching the video a few times, it looks like some kind of tactical situation going on. The guy was videoing but being obnoxious about it and yelling at the cops. No way they could let that go on in that type situation. They told him to move on, but looks like he refused. They approach and he complies, AT FIRST. The dog doesn't seem to really get excited until the guy starts to resist. That's what made the dog jump out. The officer didn't shoot the first time the dog lunged. The second time, he was about to be bit. In short, Mr. Badass with his badass dog finds out he is not such a badass and his badass dog is not bullet-proof. Shame that the dog had to pay the biggest price. BTW, I'm no vet either, but that dog was dead almost instantly. That leg motion at the end was just him playing fetch with Jesus.

These are the ones that give honest cops a bad name. The cops created that situation but they won't even get a verbal reprimand for it. allot of people don't seem to realize that the world is full of pet owners that feel their pets are like family, even children.

I feel bad for the dog, If everyone in this video had been killed I would still only feel bad for the dog. That's all i'm going to say about this one.

even the dumb asses recording this video knew that dog was coming out of that car a full 40 seconds before your little screen shot. I don't expect leo to be perfect but a little situational awareness and professionalism and this could had been avoided.

jack booted thugs - and poor shots at that - 4 rounds @ point blank range - no need for the dog to suffer just cause barney cant shoot - all a really sad event over a trumped up charge - obstruction ? really ?

How is taking pictures, yelling and walking with a dog against the law? Instigating? What does instigating have to do with the law?
This ^^^ There's no law against filming the police or having a dog on a leash while you're doing. apparently that dept is famous for violating rights and breaking laws. The cops CHOSE that guy out of the entire crowd yelling, the one guy with a beautiful Rottweiler...why him ? They were yelling at the guy to "STOP RESISTING", he was NOT resisting until his dog was shot. The first 2 officers were being very calm when the dog came over, it was the 3rd officer that caused the dog to act aggressively. He shot the dog once, the dog turned and walked away but the 3rd officer felt the itch to shoot his big gun 3 more times killing the dog.
I have no problem with honest officers but anyone with an ounce of common sense in a functioning brain can see that this caused by the police from start to finish. The dog did what dogs do, "protect and serve". Too bad those cops weren't doing their jobs. It's funny to see lumpkins that've never had to defend themselves or another defend the actions of these cops as justified.

Cops aren't Animal control. They aren't concerned with an animal at all untill its threatening them.

oh. so it wasn't there "job" to use a little common sense and make sure a 100+lb dog is secured before turning there backs and walking away with the owner in cuffs. I'm not a janitor, but when the bathroom at work gets nasty I ain't to good to clean it up either.
