I'm trying to stay calm... the sheriff has warned me....

But he can't help it, he was born that way, like LGBT folks.
The real question is, would it be a hate crime if this guy got a beat down?

There are reprobates in this country that are attempting to see this conduct "normalized" and decriminalized. Not a big fan of lynch mobs myself but if that happens?.....just sayin.

A few years ago I found out the guy who moved in 2 doors down was on the list, I think it was for child porn too but I'm not sure. Thank God my sons are grown men and have their own homes. Also I wanna thank God that the POS only stayed there about 4 or 5 months, I'm pretty sure he got a few visits from some "concerned parents" and decided our neighborhood just wasn't the right place for him.
Now with all that being said I have a friend who was wrongly accused of molesting his step daughter and ended up serving a 10 year prison sentence. She got pissed off because she wasn't allowed to go on a date with a 21 year old guy when she was only 14 or 15. The step daughter recanted AFTER my friend was sentenced and sent to prison but her biological father refused to let her tell the judge and my friend had to serve his sentence. He lost his career as a paramedic but his wife and most of his friends stuck with him, he even forgave his step daughter. I don't know if he ever forgave the biological father or not cause there was always some bad blood between those two, he's the one who put his daughter up to the accusation in the first place. He's a low life scum sucking POS who deserves an epic ass whoopin' IMHO....

If a registered sex offender moves into your neighborhood, just tell your neighbors and urge each other to keep an eye on him.

You can't harass him. No stalking. Even putting him under surveillance would probably be illegal, because he's got as much right to privacy as any one of us (except as to his parole or probation officer-- he'll have a lot less of an expectation of privacy as to a P/O).

But you can familiarize yourself with the laws for sex offenders (no living, loitering, or working within 1000 feet of places where children gather...) and you can familiarize yourself with the rules of probation and parole for sex offenders who are in those programs.

If you see him committing a crime or violating probation, report it.

If you see him doing something suspicious, something a reasonable non-paranoid, non-hateful person would truly see as suspicious and makes you think he's planning a crime or is attempting to access kids or child porn, report it.

If there's a way to let him know, politely and in a non-threatening way, that the whole community is watching him closely, that would help keep him on the strait and narrow way, and discourage him from acting on any perverted ideas he may still have.

I just signed up on kidslivesafe.com only $1 by CC (probably just to verify you are who you say you are.)
Pretty cool service, email updates etc. luckily none near me.
I wonder why they can't mandate them live in a 55+ community?
I live in one, and was hoping no "dirty old men" were my neighbors.:)

While we're on the subject, let me introduce ya'll to Jason Pitts from Clemson SC.

I had the displeasure of being around this little worm many years ago when his brother was married to one of my family members. This was before he had done anything (or at least before he'd been caught doing anything).

He was one of those guys that you just get a weird gut feeling about when you're around him. I knew there was something kinda off about the bastard, but I had no idea how ****ed up he really was until he got busted.

"Peeping/voyeurism" doesn't sound that bad right? Well, let me tell you what this asshole did....

There was a 12-year-old girl that lived in his neighborhood and came over to his house sometimes to play with his female cousin who lived with him (it came out later that he'd been molesting the cousin for years).

Anyway, he starts watching the neighbor girl and learns where she lives and which bedroom is hers. Late one night he sneaks into the girls bedroom window and finds her in bed asleep. Luckily the little girl woke up while he was pulling his pants down and she screamed for her dad.

For whatever reason, instead of going back out the window, Jason ran into a bathroom and hid behind the shower curtain. Unfortunately the dad didn't grab a gun before he went looking for Jason. When he found him, he dragged him oit of the shower and pinned him on the floor. He was holding the POS down and yelling for his wife to bring his pistol to him so he could blow his brains out, but the wife wouldn't do it. Instead she called the police and the dad just has to be satisfied with choking and beating him until the cops arrived.

If I had been the dad I would've done my best to kill that little SOB with my bare hands before the cops got there and I'd have some serious issues with my wife for not bringing me my gun.

Moral of the story: There are sick animals among us! Always be vigilant and if you hear something go bump in the night ALWAYS grab your gun before going to investigate!

on each side of my property is a registered sex offender, have to drive by em daily
both came to live in this area after me
have never spoke, have had to get the sheriff after the older one, he was going across the road leaning on "HIS MAILBOX" as he stated and watching my kids ride their dirtbikes thru the trails
sheriff told him to knock it off, no more issues. this was 5 years ago., he was convicted of child rape, his victim when she turned 18 came to live with him, she has since left his 50+ year old gross ass. here's a kicker, he advertises room for rent in his house, must be female only, drug and drama free and no felons, sicko he posts it on CL
