I bought an older bass boat that has a 115 Mercury on it. I was told by a bunch of boat guys that this is one of Mercury's best motors.

Anyway, it opens up and runs like a scalded dog, but is hard to start and does not idle. I probably could figure it out, but I would rather take it to someone and have it fixed correctly the 1st time.
Looking for someone you guys have used and trust.

Thanks for any help

replace fuel pump & fuel lines & make sure manual fuel primer bubble arrow is pointing up. they work by gravity & do not function properly if laying on their side. also try to keep fuel line as short as possible, the pump works off crankcase impulse & is not strong enough fo much over 4ft.
