This past weekend was the Indian Relay Races. Each rider has to make 4 laps around the race track bareback changing horses each lap.

to be honest, I could never ride like that. About all I could do was stay on my grandpa’s cutting horses while they were working. My grandpa was a real horseman, though.

I was blessed to grow up in Kentucky horse county. Keeneland, the Red Mile, and my grandpa’s box at the Mercer County Fair.

Some folks say the universe revolves around the Mercer County show ring.
