So my new to me 98 F150 died right there going over an inclined set of railroad tracks. Coasted over to the shoulder.
Couldn't hear the fuel pump.
Swapped around the relays. Didn't test them yet but confident enough they are working.
259K. No history if the fuel pump has been changed.
I am 6hrs from home so I can leave it for later when I have better tools.
I learned about the inertia switch so I will check it tomorrow and test the relays.
Had a full load in the truck. Going over the tracks it just died.
It did throw a code, I don't think I "need" the code reader.
I'm really curious if anyone has had a bad inertia switch. I prefer to troubleshoot instead of throwing parts.
I will have about 30 minutes to troubleshoot before I just leave it for later.
