This is what I use, I have an unlimited supply :)

i just can't see spending that much more for something eveything else does just fine. to me fl seems like its for lazy folks that don't like to clean their guns. but its your money. if you like it, by all means.

Sounds like you have never used it but are informing people that it is no good. Makes sense...

no. i'm just saying, even if it does work, i can't justify the cost. what i use works fine. and i enjoy cleaning them. so they never go very long without cleaning anyway.

OP, I personally haven't had any issues with Frog Lube and I have broken almost every cardinal rule with the stuff. I appreciate that it's non-toxic. I haven't tried shooting my guns in the cold though. With that said, I am planning on using Fireclean next just as a comparison and some S&G's.

I think you'll find that Fireclean offers all of the advantages of FL and none of the disadvantages. FC is also nontoxic, which is definitely nice.

Yea, just haven't seen any of the disadvantages to FL. I've just heard the stories. That's enough for me to want to check something out. And the non-toxicity is definitely why I'm trying FC. I'll have to wait til I'm done with my FL though. No need to jump ship til it's gone lol.

My 1911's, and my Desert Eagle get FL'd, lovingly heated and wiped down, works great, but takes a while to apply, heat, wipe off, etc. The benefit is that I can break down the 1911 and wipe it off and its clean, same with the Desert Eagle. I used to have to scrub the DE with a ton of solvent, that 50ae is a big dirty round. Now its easy to clean.

The corrosive ammo guns, ie Garand, 1903a3, get Hoppes/Solvent. Too much many steps to then go re-apply FL.

AK's get nothing.
