I had one of the 79 caprice and an 89 Merc Grand Marquis.
Now that Grand Marquis was a pretty good riding car. Best trip car i ever had. Talking about a mafia staff mobile !! That thing had a three body trunk, black windows, looked sharp !! Dark gray, best Michelin riding tires, Monroe shocks, poly bushings, i was in prime wrench monkey biz then….that one was right.

Dad had a 40 ford truck with a corvette motor in it. Snapped an axel on every other weekend……lol

My stepdad’s ‘51 Ford had a ‘built ‘60 Corvette 283, adapted to the old Ford three-on-the-tree OD transmission.
After I stripped the teeth on the second one power shifting, we swapped to a little 9 inch clutch disc so it’d slip a little under full power.
