Precision Applications, LLC will be holding an Introduction to the AR course in Powder Springs, GA on October 19, from 0800-1700 hours.

    4321 Macland Rd
    Powder Springs GA

This course is designed for the shooter that is a novice to the AR platform; no previous skill or experience is necessary. It is also an excellent refresher for those that haven't delved into the AR platform in a while.

The cost will be $250. Payment in advance is required to guarantee your spot.

Topics covered will include, but are not limited to:
-Nomenclature and functioning, to include aftermarket accessories, upgrades, magazines, ammo, etc.
-What specs make up a good AR
    -Cleaning, care and maintenance
    -Range safety and safe handling
    -Fundamentals of marksmanship
    -Loading & unloading
-Zeroing with both iron sights (fixed or backups) and optics
    -Shooting from various ready positions
-Use of strong- and support-side cover
-3 reloads (Emergency, Tactical, and Magazine Exchange)
    -Clearing Simple and Remedial Malfunctions
    -Shooting while moving

    Gear list:
AR rifle or carbine, any centerfire caliber
    500 rounds of ammunition
    Minimum 6 magazines
Pouch or other method to carry at least 1 magazine on your person for an immediate reload
    Sling
    Eye and ear protection
Ball cap or other hat with at least a front brim on it
    Water and snacks

    * A word on ammunition counts. I always ask students to bring more ammo than I think you will need. Better to have too much and take some home than to run out partway through the day!

If you are unsure of some of the equipment, or need recommendations, do not hesitate to contact me.

Dress appropriately for the weather, whatever it will be. Comfortable attire and shoes/boots are a must. Bring plenty of water.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any comments, questions or concerns.

Don't have an AR and want to learn? No worries, I can loan you an AR for the course.

Want to build your own AR prior to the course, so you can use it there? Contact me. I will help you choose parts, then I will help you build it free of charge. I get discounts with many of the top vendors, so I can save you some shekels.

Prefer to purchase a complete AR/M4? I'll help you pick one out that gets you the best bang for your budget.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the SIONICS training grounds. Heck it'd be an honor just to train and shoot where Mitch taught wetworks and did those funky 80's shooting videos. Who know what went on amongst the pines there?!

For sure interested, I have shot many many rounds with different rifles but have no formal training with them. This seems like a great place to start.
