Iowa Cop Shoots Dog

I've pepper sprayed dogs and have them stand with their back up, growling, while that **** dripped off their muzzle.
But, I've also waited to have owners corral and restrain their dog(s) before exiting my vehicle.
Cop was a dumbass, but the dog should have been restrained.

Did any of the dogs you pepper sprayed bite you afterwards?

In order for me to draw my weapon, I would have to be fearful of losing my life, in ALL situations - animal or human encounters. The situation (as it appeared in the short video, from a single, limited perspective) warranted pepper spray or a baton (worst case scenario), not killing the animal. Although I love dogs, I can see where a situation may arise where it was necessary to put the animal down, (based on this short video alone) this did not appear to be one of those situations.

I'm aware of what dogs can do but
from a dog like that one against a fully clothed grown man? Nah. Worst case scenario is a few minor puncture wounds. And that's only if you're dumb enough to not just pepper spray the snout.

I'd much rather endure that then put them innocent kids at risk and the trauma of watching their dog bleed out in pain.

Them kids see needle tracks and bruises daily. A dead dog will be shuffled out of the brain pretty quick.

Cool made up story. Still, I'd rather just deal with the dog like a adult who isn't a chicken ****.

Less paperwork, less cowardly, less hatred towards me, less chance of injuring myself and everyone around, and yes, not traumatizing kids even if they live in the ghetto.

It's a cowardly move. People who go door to door for work deal with dogs like this every single day. Only cops shoot the dogs because they are cowards hiding behind a badge.

Don't be a coward. Learn to control your emotions around barking dogs. Deal with whatever childhood trauma you have that makes you so scared of dogs in the first place, or find a profession that doesn't involve you having to approach the public at their homes.
