iPad questions

ONLY if your wireless printer has AirPrint built in. If not you have to jump through hoops and buy / use an additional app to print from.

If you have a printer connected to desktop Mac, there's an app that will act like airprint and allow you to print wirelessly from an iOS device. Dunno if there's a Windows equivalent.

I just got an iPad 4 (called the iPad with Retina Display) this past Sunday. The don't call it the 4 because unlike other iPads that were an upgrade (say from the original to the 2) it actually replaced the 3. The only real difference between the 4 and the now gone 3 is the camera, the processor speed and the charging/ sync cable. I opted it for it over the mini because it has the "Retina Display."

I went with the 16GB because I don't actually store anything on it.

The iPad is the best thing I've ever owned.

If you want the full size iPad, get the latest gen (4th gen) and get the most capacity you can afford. As for whether you want the cellular radio or not, definitely get it. If you don't get the model with LTE, you won't have a GPS chip in it. The WiFi only model is fine if you don't think you'll ever use GPS...otherwise, get the LTE model. Yes, it costs slightly more, but well worth it if you ever want to use internet on the go. I always keep my LTE on and use my iPad everywhere I go...but there is no contract so I can always turn it off if I so choose.

If you want the Mini, it's an easier choice given that there is only WiFi and LTE models...so just pick one.

Whatever you get, make sure you buy AppleCare+. It's $99, but gives you two accidental damage fixes for $50 each. Example: I had a friend who smashed his, and walked into Apple's store in Perimeter, and paid them $50, got a brand new one. If you don't buy that, it only covers warranty work (not drops / liquid damage).

Go to the Apple store to buy it...great customer service.

I have the mini and like it so much better then the ipad 2. Easier to carry around and more mobile in my opinion. Also don't get the 4g version, you will never use. Also you may want to get a refurbished one, cheaper. Or if your military look at buying on base
