Is 30-30 150 grain to much for hogs?

I have shot 3 hogs recently night hunting with my 30-30 using Winchester 150 grain power-point ammo and every shot went clear through the hogs leaving an exit wound about the size of a silver dollar suggesting little if any expansion. Is there a better round to be using in my 30-30? One 150 lb hog with a solid hit to his vitals ran 50 yards before dropping.

Aim more toward the shoulder to break them down. Your vertical crosshair on a profile shot should align with the front leg.

I use the 160gr Leverevolution from Hornady.. enough to punch through the shoulder blade and plate, but causes mass havoc internally. Most of the time doesn't exit but leaves a hollowed out section of ground pork big as a softball.
