Is it criminal to buy guns just to resale at a (high) profit?

Lot of talk about people cleaning out the gun shelves specifically to resale and profit from this situation. A lot of these are being posted here. Obviously you can not resale like this without an FFL. Seems like this could bring a lot of unwarrented scrutiny to our community by those who don't like us to begin with.

What's "illegal" and what "can be proven to be illegal" are not always the same thing. I don't condone such behavior, but proving someone's intentions can be a difficult prospect without overwhelming circumstantial evidence or a confession of intent.

It all depends whether the authorities want to make an example of someone. Even if you're exonerated, lawyers are expensive so everyone must choose their own path...

When did private sales become illegal in GA? What's wrong with exercising your rights to earn a profit as a hobbyist in a free market? As long as all laws are followed, sellers have just as much right to make a profit as buyers do to pass on things they don't like or approve of. It doesn't matter if they sell one or one hundred as long as laws are followed. There are no restrictions on the number of private sales a citizen can make

It's only illegal when you do it for a trade. If this is how you make your living, then you need a license. Making or losing on a trade when doing it as a hobby ain't anyone's business.

Jealously and envy are powerful motivators. These tools are successfully used everyday by the left to get Americans to turn on each other. Divide and conquer.
