Is it criminal to buy guns just to resale at a (high) profit?

Any cash I have made or trade ups I have done will never put me in the black for the ammo, range time, and other gun crap I buy.. It keeps my wife from flipping out on me and helps pay the gas to the next trade.

When did private sales become illegal in GA? What's wrong with exercising your rights to earn a profit as a hobbyist in a free market? As long as all laws are followed, sellers have just as much right to make a profit as buyers do to pass on things they don't like or approve of. It doesn't matter if they sell one or one hundred as long as laws are followed. There are no restrictions on the number of private sales a citizen can make
It's always been illegal to buy firearms for the express purpose of reselling as a "business" without having an FFL..... As previously mentioned, proving this is a bit complicated.

Not against the law to turn a profit, but you have to follow the laws to do so

Can't remember every makin a profit.Don't know if I am even breaking even.Still do it though.About 3 more guns and I will be done,Then swap something else.

I have made out on some deals, but always seem to give it back when I see something I have been wanting. Im willing to over pay a couple a hundred bucks for something I WANT,because it's going to be in my safe for a while.

Same here, I buy/trade for what I want, shoot it until I get tired of it, trade or sell it for something else, and the cycle continues...... I have never turned a profit..... Expensive hobby this is ;)

No. If someone pays the seller's price, it wasn't too high. Problem today is everyone who gets all wrapped up with how much money other people make.

Yeah I like to think I am always "trading up" to get something a little better (in my eyes) that I want. But then something I really, really want comes along and I will way overpay to get it. Always happens.
