IMHO keymod is for sure like Betamax vs VHS. I have a keymod rail system and won't be trading it for anything any time soon but in the future I will probably get an M-lok rail as well.
I use a quick release mount on the keymod and it's much more solid than the M-lok version especially for things like a bipod. Its easier to swap things around with the QR vs. direct mounting to each rail, so there is that. Beats having to have a bipod for each rifle or just to stick it on for range sessions and then remove it without tools.
