My jack pivots at the base a little bit. If necessary you can lean back on the jack if it is not pulling the post up in a straight plane.

Ok now I’m picturing what your doing. That seems like a pretty good solution.No. Put closed end on ground or board if ground soft. Wrap chain around t post at ground level. Hook comealong to top of pipe, other end on chain. Crank the t post up and out of ground..

Maybe tractor supplyI need a t-post puller around here. I’ve rented one before, but I’d rather just have my own. I’ll pick one up at tractor supply at some point if I have to but I’d rather buy or trade for a used one. Anybody have a t-post puller they don't use any more?
An old bumper Jack and a small piece of.chain works good
I’m thinking that is the route I’m going to take.High lift jack and a piece of chain pops them right out of the ground.
I wish I had gone that route when I first moved onto my place. There was poorly installed, poorly maintained fences in all kind ignored places I didn’t want it. Now all I’m pulling is a few posts here and there that I need to put in temporarily. If you can borrow a tractor with a front end loader you can wrap a chain around the post and make really short work of pulling out a bunch of them.
