I noticed the leaves starting to turn when we were in Sydney last month.

So Dingo , while most people follow the sun and flee the colder places for warmer ones, it appears you enjoy autumn and winter. What gives?

Well we sail and in Oz as you know, the seasons are the reverse of the northern hemisphere. So this time of year, our autumn and winter is the sailing season, cool but fine weather, low 20s during the day and single figures at night. Our summer and spring are the cyclone season so sailing is ill advised and besides that it’s hot and humid, which we find is hard to take as you get older, so we escape to the northern hemisphere for winter activities and the joys of spring which we don’t get at home.

Yes, nice but not as good as the US east coast I suspect.
