So here's a theory about planting now.
Planting now, you obviously run the real risk of burn out.
But.... there is obviously still a lot more browse left so 'maybe' your plots have a better chance of not getting completely hammered by deer before getting established. Just a theory.
I just plant when I can (and this weekend was it).
Don't forget to lime! If it's in Georgia, it needs lime. Guaranteed.
Like I said, I planted so the weather is going to kill mine one way or the other anyway.

Well so much for that theory. Stuff busted out of the ground in 5 days and they were on it head down around the clock wearing it out!
Spread milorganite yesterday and so far so good ..

Planted Saturday and Sunday… looks like we will get rain this week so they should be in good shape.

Well I was able to plant 5 food plots today before the rain set in around 2:30. Glad you were wrong GeauxLSU lol
