Item Description: I had a man offer to trade me a 303. I know nothing about a 303. I see online where they are going for $150 to a couple thousand dollars?? I feel like that is a pretty big range and was just wondering if somebody could learn me a thing or two about them. If its too much to type i can call you as well. Thanks

.303 is a caliber, not a type of firearm. There are a lot of rifles chambered in .303, so you’re going g to have to be more specific.

.303 British is the caliber. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.303_British

You can chamber thousands of different firearms in .303 British. You need to know the make and model of the rifle in question to get the answer you're seeking.

What you're asking is the same as if you asked "What is a .30-06 worth?"

There was also the 303 Savage round. Now basically obsolete. It was originally chambered in the Savage model 99.

Definitely. As stated above, .303 is a rifle caliber, not a firearm...however, I regularly hear people refer to Enfields, Metfords, etc. as '.303s', or 'an old .303 rifle', so that's why I was asking which model. Pics are definitely needed here.
