Item Description: Please share your expertise with a newbe. Getting set up to reload 9mm with Lee Classic turret press. I just finished tumbling once fired brass with spent primers intact in walnut media. My question Is it important to "case lube" prior to using the first die for de-priming and sizeing this calibur with this equipment? Thank you in advance for your reply

The only time I have problems with case lubing is when I am reloading for 30.06. The cases are so long that they create a lot of drag and occasionally get stuck. I have had to replace more than 1 sizing pin because of it. If you do start doing the rifle calibers, watch our for too much lube, leaves little indentations if you put on too much. Not a problem, just looks like crap.

if you tumble your brass just add some Nu-finish(cap full) to your tumbler.. it will polish the brass and leave a slight film that helps with any die or expander

I just spray a little PTFE (Teflon) dry lub in the container of cases before starting. Give it a chance to let the carrier evaporate, and shake it up a bit...lub is not required, but this will make your operations a lot smoother. Personally I decap and resize before tumbling, which allows my primer pockets to get cleaned (stainless steel media) and prime by hand with ErgoPrime. Do like my Lee Classic Turret though. Quick change over between calibers with extra turrets. Enjoy.
