Zip Code: 30705
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 350
Caliber: 12gauge
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Up for sale only is a nice old Doulb Barrel. This is the information that I have discovered while researching the markings on the shotgun. There is not a name on the gun except Meyers Special on both barrels. By that research shows that is made out of Damascus steel. The margins on the receiver shows that it was either manufactured in Germany between 1912 and 1936 or in Belgiun from 1936 and 1956. Some of these guns were used by the Germans during WW1. I am not saying this one is but because of the way these guns were marked there is not any way to definitely say when it was made. As you can see the numbers 1548 are stamped in the stock. I do not know why. If anyone has anymore information on this shotgun please feel free to share.
It has 27 1/2" barrels and says it is choked but does not say what the choke size is. I have fired this shotgun and it shoots just like it should. It looks good to be as old as it is. It looks like someone has put a clear coat on the wood. The butt plate has wear. See pictures.
Price is $350. If you think it is worth more I will gladly accept. I will not take less. I do not know the value of this gun. So if I am low on the price, good for you. If you think I am high on the price let me know and I will keep it.
