Item Description: Here is an awesome, original 1976 series 70 COLT COMBAT COMMANDER, with original magazine, in electroless nickel finish on an awesome weapon...COLT .45 !!
The serial # verifies it is a 1976 model...I have blacked out the complete # but it is a 1976 series.
This weapon is the pre-firing pin block pistol and has what some refer to as a Rawl or Ring or Commander hammer, grip safety which prevents " grip bite" with original checkered grips in really good condition. The medallions in the grip are in very good condition as well.
Now is it perfect??? no... as there are a few some spotting areas on the like the grip safety and edges but all in all, a really good, well kept weapon waiting for a new home.
I'm selling it for a friend so I'm not all that familiar with it ins and out but I do know - it shoots great, and has the following items as extras...
* 2 - extra magazine ( not Colt magazines though )
* Nylon, outside the waist band right handed holster that holds a magazine as well
* a box of ammunition
