Item Name: Item Gone: FS 1985 Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum/.38 2.75 Barrel Revolver Nice!
Location: Cumming
Zip Code: 30040
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 630
Caliber: 357Mag
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: This excellent .357 mag revolver was made in 1985, is the updated version frame called the high-back. (the orig were later called low back) The updated high back felt better in web of hand and offered more control. Orig walnut grips with Ruger medalion. Square butt. Adj rear sights.
I believe I am the third owner. There are some minor handling marks, very minor/shallow surface pitting in a few spots as pictured…the revolver appears to have had very, very few rounds thru it looking at all the key areas. Bore is bright and clean. I’m guessing less than 100 rounds through this gem based off the near lack of cyclinder turn line and no powder burn markings.
I gave it a full detail strip and cleaning…ready for the next owner…everything is smooth and precise…the action is smooth and un-modified…smooth but firm DA pull..a dreamy single action…there’s no gritty feel..Ruger made really amazing revolvers in the 80’s. This model was discontinued in 88… was replaced by the heavier GP100. It’s hard to find a Security six in this barrel length and cond these days..these are heirloom guns built to outlast us all.
Comes as pictured..orig cardboard box or paper docs are long gone..this is an example nice enough to want..but not so nice you’ll never want to shoot.
$630 cash firm…not looking at any trades at the moment…flash that CWL please have at least a few ODT positive deals and make it yours.
I’m in the city of Cumming/border Alpharetta..I’m willing to meet reasonably close but not looking for a big ole drive. Thanks ODT
