Item Description: Here's one you won't see again for a while, if ever. This is an Egyptian 'Hakim' .22 air rifle trainer made for the Egyptian military. In the 1950s, Egypt was transitioning from their old bolt action rifles to the new semi auto 'Hakim' 8mm rifle. The government contracted 2800 of these trainers from Anschutz in Germany. The rifles mimics the real Hakim very well, weighing in at about 10.5 pounds.
The markings are fantastic, including the skull and crossbones flanked by Arabic script roughly translated as 'National Union Youth Movement/National Guard'. Apparently influenced by SS symbolism.
Rifle functions perfectly.
Here's a chance to own a really unique and rare piece of Egyptian military history!
