Item Description: Howdy!
On the chopping block today is your standard built on the cheap side charging AR15.
Anderson lower and Stoner (Bear Creek) upper. Works flawlessly.
HOWEVER....
My plan in building this was a simple open sighted carbine for one of my kids who is not a gun person. They would say "Thanks Dad" and shove it in their ITP home closet and forget it. But it would make me feel better.
So in the heading of you get what you pay for, the handguard is ever so slightly canted. So with open sights the rear sight is not centered noticeably. My OCD kicked in. I lapped the front of the receiver hoping the receiver was the issue. But the issue is the ElCheapo free float handguard.
If you are using a red dot or optics this is not an issue at all. If you are not OCD this is not an issue.
My mental illness is your gain.
Will come with the Diamond Head sights and against the advice of my accountant, a P-Mag.
