honestly,i don't know either answer i recieved as part of a trade

says BSA co. is manufacturer,and has a date of 1916,the serial numbers of the bolt,reciever and magazine all match,the rear sight has a date of 1917 on it ,so i expect it to be a replaced sight?

It should be approx. 25 1/4 inch from the top of the receiver where the bolt come forward to the end of the barrel.
