Item Description: Scope, rings and rail not included. Box and Doc's included . Purchased on 9.16.20 picked it up from my FFL on the 9/21/20. I paid $1999.00 total.
The 280 Ackley Improved (AI) is an improved 280 Remington Cartridge improved by P.O.Ackley, This is the most efficient .284 cartridge in my opinion, less recoil and powder, with almost the same ballistics as the 7mm Remington Magnum. ammo is factory produced by most cartridge companies, this rifle will also feed and shoot standard 280 Remington Ammo with ease.
I started the break in on the 22nd. It took 13 shots to show no more copper, then shot 3 groups of 3 shots for load work, cleaned after each 3 shot group. Copper Creek Stage 1, 140 gr. Berger VLD, blue load shot .3 at 100 yds. I stopped. Then switched to 175 Berger Elite Hunter I shot 3 - 3 shot groups 3 different powder weights this rifle does not like the 175's. I would try the 168 gr. Berger VLD's next if I were to continue shooting. 28 total rounds through the barrel. I can help you with your next order from Copper Creek if you would like.
