Great gun my wife loves hers. 15 round S&W mags run fine but for some reason the 18 round ones didn't and I didn't feel like trying to "fit" them so I just sold them.

This is or was the sidearm of the south Korean military along with the Daewoo 223 rifle that's a Galil copy. These are solid guns and when they were importing them in the 90s they got good reviews. I would just hope that they use another common mag like Smith, Beretta or Hi Power mags. That would make life easier.
Looks like an American company called Lion Heart Industries manufactures the DP51 under their brand now with some really nice upgrades. High end now, around $700.

Not gonna happen as they say on Pawn Stars. It's a solid pistol but it was intended as a bargain pried pistol too. There are already plenty of competitors in the over $500.00 category.

Adam, you will like it. Shot one years ago: soft recoil and pointed (for me) like an extension of my arm. It took me a while to figure out the triple function safety, de-cocker, kimchee maker thing, but I'm a little slow.

Lionheart have been selling their DP51 variants, the LH9, for years and they get excellent reviews. As far as bargain is concerned it was the Korean military pistol, they are rugged as all hell. Just because it is fairly cheap to by now does not mean it is a low tier pistol at all.
