Item Name: 1916 Berlin Mauser 8mm not 7.62 vz24
Location: Snellville
Willing to Ship: Yes
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: $200 OBO
Trade Value or Items Looking For: Mosins, Enfields, Milsurp Rifles, just ask.
Caliber: 8mm
Item Description: This is a really interesting Mauser that has been around the block. It started out as an Imperial German Gew98 long rifle, then ended up being converted to 7.62 NATO by the Israelis in the 1950's. Later it ended ip in Latin America (Guatemala is where these were imported from I believe). The 7.62 Nato barrel must have been shot out, so the previous owner installed a Yugo 8mm barrel on it. 8mm is cheaper to shoot than 7.62 Nato, so no bug deal. Rifle has a mix of parts, to include a lot of Czech parts. Bore condition is not great. The are in front of the bore is rough, but it improves toward the muzzle. It'll shoot, but it's no match rifle. Great for a project gun as there is little that hasn't been done to it by now. Receiver has pitting on it, but it is cosmetic and not structural.

I'll pay shipping in state to residents of Georgia legally allowed to own a firearm. Non-FFL holders need to provide DL and statement that they are legally allowed to won a rifle, not a felon, and have no domestic violence charges. Willing to ship to FFL holders anywhere (California 03 FFL only). Prefer payment by USPS money order if not FTF. Due to time involved, it's easier to ship the rifle than drive to a FTF. I'm in Snellville and work in Duluth.
I know I don't have much feedback here, but I am on Gunboards and Surplusrifleforum as Homer2 with lots of positive trader feedback. I'm also templethree on Gunbroker with 57 positive transactions.
