Wyatt,

I'd be interested in your Browning shotgun you have for sale but I'll will be stuck in Marietta until sometime late next week. If you still have it when get to Eatonton I'll take a look. It might be best if you tried to contact me if it hasn't sold by phone next weekend at 770-883-6040. I'm moving and am in the middle of a mess! The only musical instrument I have is an Ibanez acoustic guitar that's never been used but is about 15 years old. It is one of their Jam Pack models with the auto tuner and case. I may have a baby grand piano that my son just acquired but not sure at this time. He may keep it.

If you don't know anything about your shotgun I can give you some info. I have a sweet 16 I bought around 1968. It has the square grip on the butt. Yours must be made prior to 1967, I think. If you took at the breech end of the barrel it should have some asterisk on it. The number of asterisk will tell you how it's choked. Most came from the factory with a 28" barrel choked modified. Yours is rough but they are very good shotguns. The sweet 16 is a lighter, slimmer version of the A5 16ga and is more desirable. Unfortunately your barrel is very rough at the muzzle and barrels are around $300 each. Still I think your price is very reasonable. I know people would rather have a 20 or a 12 over the 16 but the 16's are great and have a huge following. If you wanted to keep it and had some money to spend, Browning used to completely rebuild them at their factory and they could make them look brand new.

In any case I'd like to have another one to go with the one I have.

Thanks,
Ron
