IMO, some of these "handgun" scopes can be repurposed to rifle use on rifles that have front-forward handguard Picatinny mounts. I did that with a 10/22 mount tactical stock configuration that had the front-forward rail and it works great...It just takes a scope with a long focus of about 10 to 18 inches
